The $5000 Paint Job!
For all of you, getting the exterior of you home painted can be a big ordeal. Not to mention, it costs a lot of money! The average paint job for a 3,500 square foot brick home runs around $5000.
In most cases a paint job should last at least 10 years if done well. After that, paint can start chipping away and begin loosing its luster. Depending on where you live, it can last up to 15 to 20 years!
What causes the paint job to go bad so quickly?
From my interactions with customers, I felt that it was important for me to bring this up. I had a customer tell me they needed to get their house painted and they’d just done the job 5 years before. The painted surfaces did look dingy and gray. If I didn’t know any better, I would’ve thought the same thing.
Especially in the south, there’s a lot, I mean a lot of humidity. Mold and Algae thrive down here. The south is one big test tube for these fellas. They thrive mostly in the shade and also love moisture.
Their colors tend to range from green to black. If your house has them, you’ll notice uneven spots and shades.
There’s Hope...
Before you decide to spend another $5000, consult with us. There is a large possibility you can save thousands and get the same result by doing a house wash. The costs are minimal compared to a paint job. A house wash can even prolong the paint job by keeping dirt and mold from agitating the paint.
How is the mold removed?
To alleviate your fears...we don’t use high pressure to peel the dirt off. You only want to use that kind of pressure when prepping the house for a painting.
We use a low-pressure chemical applicator designed to gently shoot the solution onto the house and rinse it off.
